Mouse in the engine

I have a squeak when I start the engine which disappears after a couple of minutes and I am fairly sure after looking at the build manual it comes from the main belt tensioner wheel.
I have bought some silicon spray lubricant, do you reckon that would get rid of my mouse ok

Already did and it is now as quiet as a mouse

Hang on, you said you could hear a mouse, now it's as quiet as a mouse. You need to sort your mice related similes out !

Has it got wet, jet washed etc The pulley gets a coating of rust very quickly, will soon go as it wears off.

No jet washing done under my clam, it has been doing this for a month or so, I wouldn't mind but when so many people stop when you are about to start it up that can be a bit embarrasing, but a squirt of that lubricant did the job, no mice at all now.

For what they cost Andy i would get a new belt !! easy to change as well .

It was only replaced last week...how often should I replace it....LOL

have you got it lined up properly?i think without going out to the car on the wide pulley it must not be close to the engine side.i believe mine is 2 lines off the engine side.i had it 3 out at first and it squeeled .

The pulley has been squirted and all is now fine, all as quiet as it should be
