Need to get my wheels refurbished. Lots of people have recommended BJV and they are not too far away from me so that is good.

However I have a 3R ... is it worth going black?

If they get scratched does the silver show up easily underneath? Will I regret going black?

Anyone got photos of their cars on black wheels? Do you think it is a better look?

I too can recommend BJV but have you considered that during the process, you'll lose all your fake nuts?
There have been threads on here of where to get replacements but I'm not that great with the search feature!
With regards to black or any other colour, I think it depends on what colour your car is. IMHO, black tends to look good on the lighter, brighter colours but not on the darker ones.
With regards to durability, BJV powder coat the wheels so they should be fairly robust... as long as you don't kerb them.

You might consider the "black chrome" look; appears to be a semi-transparent layer that takes the standard wheels to a dark silver / gunmetal hue. They look superb - I think both AMGMerc and tonyvan on here have had this done (got any pictures Rob? and have you still got your nuts???).

Would be good to see what the gunmetal grey ones look like.

I realise I will lose the fake bolts, but apparently it looks fine without.

Well, you know what they say...."once you've gone black, you never go back!" biggrin

IMO, black wheels give the car a more menacing and aggressive look, whilst Silver gives a cleaner and dare i say it, a prettier look???

I dont think you can go wrong with either options to be fair....whatever floats your boat i guess. I personally felt the need to go black smile
