custom exhaust and remap

i have a 2.5 m12. so exhaust comes out the bottom i am thinking of having a custom exhaust made over the winter. im thinking quad tail pipes. so 2 on each side. also i guess would need a remap also. how much more power do you think i could get or would it be best to keep power the same. any advice on this would be great. also does anyone no any1 in the hampshire area that could do all this

10% is a good possibility for a proper exhaust.

The trick is to ensure it's a true 'dual' exhaust i.e. removing the 'Y' pipe into a single silencer. That being the case, Bondy's right and 10% is achievable. You will however have to get it re-mapped. Yellowshed is the man to do this for you.

If you have a Marelli ECU then you may luck out if you have the MBE then Yellowshead is the man.

i think it is the original ecu but i really dont no i cant find it on the car. i just want a exhuast that is a bit more unusual than the standard one.

Remove rear wheel on drivers side then remove pannel in front of wheel. Voilà there is the ECU. If it is dhe marelli thenaube worth just changing to a 3 ltr exhaust as I did.

Or you can look on the righthand side inboard of the ecu bay and there will be an OBDII connector, indicating an MBE ECU.

Not entirely out of luck.

There's an MBE with a 2.5 loom on nobleparts And it had a Yellowshed map too.

a) That's not a picture of a OBDII connector

and

b) The MBE ECU does not use ODBII

It was a simple illustration to show what the MBE plug looked like, as its attached to the wiring harness on the right hand side of the engine bay.
