so it finaly happened. actually only had the car for 6 weeks. on a run to durness the d riveshafts and maybe the diff though i dont know this yet shat its load when i tried to pull up a hill. any ideas of cost. i spoke to graham on here about it but wondered if anyone else had any experience of it or total costs involved. on the plus sides the car was so clean and polished it got quite a few nice mentions even though it was on the back of a low loader when the truck was refueling...

I had this happen after 2 months ownership. Think it cost around 4k (I also had a major service done and new gearbox/clutch). I think you can get it cheaper these days and there is a cheaper method of cutting the bar in front of the gear box and removing the box without taking the engine out possibly 2k.

I will be going the cut bar route if i ever need the box out again. Also get the box shot peened (not sure on spelling)once its out.
