Hi Can anybody give me any advise on how to remove the rear of my wing mirror. I have removed the mirror, but still cannot get to tighten the nut, the spring is preventing me and the wires are also in the way. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The rear just pulls off - if you have the mirror removed then easier to just push from inside the mirror unit - use both hands and push with your thumbs near the top. It will take some force but will eventually give way.

They are just Rover 25 mirrors so plenty around eBay etc.

The retaining nut is a real pig to get to never mind tighten. I have done a guide on how to convert them to electric mirrors (which includes removal of the mirrors and the nuts). This is hosted on Nobleparts.

Surprised that it has come loose as the nuts are usually fastened with loctite.

ETA - Just seen your post on Nobleparts - have a look in the parts section wink
