For me, if you're going to buy a sports car, you aren't doing it for the subtlety...therefore has anyone out there resprayed their cars and what is the general consensus in the Nob community regarding this?
I know resale values could be affected depending how ghastly a colour were talking....personally I would love to respray orange with black rims and black(carbon) M400 scoops.. For me this would look gorgeous, but maybe too much for many of you.

hard to sell a car which has had a colour change, so depends what your plans are.
I love Orange on sports cars. but you can always tell a car has had a respray, Noble less so though due to being able to remove most things to paint ie clams.

But it's your money so you can do what you like :-) I am not paying for you to have your car resprayed. :-p

I can comment a bit on the process of a re-spray.. I am a Brit living in California and managed to find what some of us believe to be the last rolling chassis left un-built in the US (M400). (rumors are there maybe 1 more, but it has not surfaced yet). It recently *was* a non metallic red, and is now a soon to be announced color. (keeping it quiet to build anticipation for friends on the us noble forum. 
)
Personally I would not mind about a car having been re-spray due to cosmetic reasons only. With the uniqueness of these cars, and the differing modifications and builds, color just falls into the customization umbrella. I am looking at keeping my noble for some time, and a colour change had to be in the making..
However, the paint shop doing the work, greatly underestimated the amount of work to do it right. Remember mine is just a rolling chassis, no engine and drive train, so its somewhat easier. Little items like taking the doors apart, wing mirrors, head light unit, grills, rubber seals etc was just far more work than they expected. a lot of items are simply glued in place with a lot of polyurethane which is a pain to get through. Badges and door sill protectors also need to be sourced for replacement. etc etc etc.. I don't want to rush my paint guy and he is doing a great job, but what we all thought was going to be a three week job, is now on week 9 and has 1 more to go. And that doesn't include a custom clear bra to go on top...
Some of this was taken up with my deliberation over base colour and stripe placement/colour however.
So, if you want to do it... do it!

If you're worried about resale values, you could always go the wrap route. I've seen a few recently and have been impressed by the quality. Apparently they last approx 5 years, cost around £2k and protect the paint underneath.
I'm tempted to do the Noble in orange too, but don't fancy taking such things as the lights apart. I don't think Phil's too keen an the idea either.
