confused

Never had a problem with my idle.. In 50,000 miles. (MBE ECU and ISC fitted and working).

Is this an ECU related issue? Still got the MM ECU?

it will raise the rpm when the air con is switched on

fitted to weber marelli ecu's

could also be used to raise rpm whilst the engine is cold

Is the part not a vacuum switching valve?

Don't think so.

I'm sure that's the overboost controller that modfies the pressure of the wastegate. It was developed on my original 2.5l. Gives around 340bhp peak IIRC.

Thanks for the help guy's,if you notice the idle throttle vaive has been disconnected which makes me think this is something to do with idle control, also where this is situated.

is it bleeding off the boost pressure signal for the wastegate thus acting as a crude boost controller to get more boost?

A past member of this forum had one and it was for boost (Humpy). Think it was Paul (Ramons mate), come to think of it neither has posted on here in a while.

It's the overboost controller guys.

As I said, my 2.5l was the first to have it fitted and then mapped by Yellowshed.

Here is the before and after dynos

340bhp on the nose.

Not sure where Ramon is these days, but I bought Pauls (Humpys) car and it still has the boost controller fitted
