stereo speakers may be of interest to you to know?
Discussion
Hi All,
have to say I am new to this forum and I am enjoying all the great information so thought I would add some thing
that I have just learnt on my Noble I decided to replace the average tiny quality stereo with a Alpine head
unit and speakers this was done by The sound Gallery High Wycombe my brother works for the Home Hifi side but they also have car audio, ok to the point when the guy removed the Sony speakers it would appear that the foam inlay behind was never cut so that the sound had only one direction and could not use the door skin for any base I just wonder how many cars with the sony standard speakers are set up the same? So may be work a look to improve the sound!
Hope this was helpful

interesting, someone explained the physics of speakers to me last week, something he told me that surprised me was that when a speaker is going backwards or is settling because the cone acts like a spring, it is producing distortion, the speakers he sells are $75000 a pair so i had to accept what he said.

I often found it strange when people said the sound was crap in the Noble when mine is fine.
It looks like my car had a speaker upgrade with Mid/Base and separate tweeter, also behind the door skin was dynomat.
I get a great sound with really good base from the std Sony stereo

Got to agree there Bondy, I did buy a £90 amp so the head isnt working as hard and that is really goodIt looks like my car had a speaker upgrade with Mid/Base and separate tweeter, also behind the door skin was dynomat.

Not in my car, i found a really good set of JL's to go in mine for £60
Did the tunnel cooling mod so that enabled me to run the speaker cables through the tunnel without worrying about the cables melting.
I put it on the inside of the outer door skin, got to put it on in strips through the speaker hole and where ever you can get your hand through, i also clad the inside of the door card in accoustic carpet. I also did the cills, these are like big empty resonating chambers, i pulled all the carpet up dynamat then put double layer new carpet down on top the entire floor, i took of the wheel arches, and filled the cills with insulation, the rear speakers act like an extra sound barrier from the engine bay, it makes a massive difference inside the cockpit, i love the Noble but i am not a track racer, so i wanted a luxury feel for the road. I also put anti vibration pads, on all the heatshields in the engine bay, the only sound i hear now nad the only sound i want to hear, is the loud Hiss of the turbos sucking in all that air, which are repositioned right behind the ears. Seriously can make these cars feel like an Aston inside with a bit of work, i only hear road noise when i wind down the windows and i do not get any noises coming through from the engine compartment, like the gearbox etc.. but i had recon gearbox also so that is a lot quieter, i like the exhaust note and can still hear it over the music when i give it some, but i have the choice, if i want i can crank up the volume and will hear nothing but the music.
If your like me and want to the Noble power and handling and unique styling but also want a luxury solid feel inside the cockpit, these mods are very effective and easy to do.

Hi,best place to source Dynomat? What Dynomat product did you use?Thank you.Steve.
They are all the same , they just come in different sized kits, i.e a boot kit will cost about £99, but it is only because there is more square meterage.Just source it from your local audio shop or off the internet.
OMG !!!!! Took my Sony speakers out, removed the black cloth that was left in and the difference is amazing !!!!!! Anyone with the original speakers needs to check....the difference is out of this world !!!!

Ye its crazy isnt it, whenever you get speakers in the instructions it says leave space all the way around the magnet, but i think there is a reason Noble did this, to protect it from water, water gets inside the doors and drips out of the holes in the bottom, still i have removed mine because it only gets dry use.never understood wht you would buy a noble and worry about the stereo....but why use it with one hand tied behind your back...many thaks !!!!!
