what next warranty wise

after some digging around iv found that the place i bought my car from states on their web page that all cars come with a minimum of 3 months warranty. does anyone know if the diff will be covered with this and if its still valid even though work has begun on the repair. i take it i will need proof of date of the breakdown times and diagnosis etc?
The fact you have already started work repairing it, may make things difficult for you, they have the right to choose their own repairer and get independent evaluation before work commences.
But yes Diff should be covered in the warranty, one of the few things that will be.
But rules are you have to get permission from the warranty supplier before you get a third party to start working on it, i think you will have just voided your warranty.
But you can still argue it, depends how reasonable they are and how much trouble you give them.
