very unlikelly that they drove it home as it was on slicks and lowered when they recorded this time... was still quicker in proper road trim than the enzo tho as they went there last year as well.
About time TG got their head out there ass and featured the bloody car as it both british and hardly a flash in the pan as the GTRs been on sale 10years!
Ive weighed a few GTRs on proper corner weight scales and they ranged from just under 1100kgs to 1150kgs fully wet... you can get em lighter if you fit non std wheels brakes and change some of the drivetrain bits (lightweight clutch etc).

Yes, these people are quite crafty though, they said it would be driven home afterwards and possibly it was, not until they changed the tyres to road legal ones though. (Conveniently omitted).

Hmmm, so marginally heavier than my car will be when finished..... "interesting". Sounds a tad high. When corner weighted mine was 1045kg with full tanks. That is an alloy LS7 but does include a gearbox cooler and pump.

BTW Mike, Im told the Nobles come in close to 1200kgs... havnt put mine on the scales to confirm tho.

The Fxxalso was on slicks, so its fair i suppose, even though they had to change the tyres to drive home.
Top gear have actually featured the Ultima GTR twice, onlt this was the old format Top gear, when tiff needle was still a presenter.

I agree they need to test it again and get it officially put on the power lap board, but can it go over speed bumps? if not then that may be way it is not allowed on the power lap board, but you can clearly hear Jeremy Clarkson state it is a production road car in the first clip.
They went all out to get the Ascari to the top of the leaderboard because it is a UK car, so why the hell they do not put the Ultima up there to prove us brits build the fastest, most lightweight and brutal road cars is not making sense.

Shall we petition? I'm all up for standing outside top gear track with banners, chaining you to the railings etc..
i have thought for some time, indeed wrote to TG, on the fact that since kit cars such as caterham, westfield, tigers, and all the other makes out there are so popular, TG should do a special programme devoted to the kit car and/or specialist British made sports cars - to include the Noble and Ultima of course. There is a car called the Murtaya i think which is a cabrio body fitted onto a scooby chassis and engine which they reckon is awesome. It's built in Devon or Cornwall I think. I dont think they should hark back to the past too much on this as there are loads of decent kits and small production operators currently out there who build awesome products - its why there are so many magazines on them.
Lets face it, people who watch TG wants to see supercars and unknown cars that go bl00dy fast round the track at a tenth of what the supercars cost to buy and run. It's not as if they test average joe's car anyway, its alsways something special.
Fifth Gear have a slightly different format as tehy do look at boring everyday micra's, fiesta's etc, but they have featured the better known kit cars as well.
I think TG bosses are missing a trick here. After all, they did vote the Caterham R500 their car of the year due to its lap time beating the Veyron. surely that should open their eyes to the world of the smaller and kit car production companies ......?????

I've got access to corner weight scales, I'll weigh it when it's done. Probably make sure there's another (standard) car available at the same time for comparison?Mike.
I know on the chassis badge it adds up to 1200kg, but i do not think that is the kerb weight, this has always confused me, on my dads BMW is says a weight of 1800kg, but when i look it up it has a kerb weight of 1600kg?
What is this all about, why on the chassis badge on the Noble does it say 700kg rear and 500kg front?
