There's talk about it on the US forum. Main hub bolt failure IIRC. I'm glad i got a set of Troy's cool

is this the same bolt that Paul Cundy has replaced on his racecar ?

correct guys, stock bolt is a standard allen head bolt which does not give proper support to the bearings. End result over time, especially if you track, it could brake. Troy in the US, had a whole new assembly bolt designed and made from high tensil materials, which also supports the hub bearings on both sides, centers it too, which has to date resolved the issue. Paul Cundy is supplying them locally in the UK to interested people, which many in the UK have already purchased. A no brainer in my mind, if you push the car at all !

I got a set from Paul and changed them,the hubs and bearings for the Ford ones and have not had any warped discs / braking vibration etc since. I also used the porker hub nut so a bit more torque can be applied when tightening them as it's a bigger dia thread in the nut, and better material bolt.

I suspect its probably more likely a removable steering wheel boss, but does look like a key I admit confused

so how much is this mod to replace the ford bit?... im very interested in sorting bits before major failure that can cause serious damage!
