Does anyone know how to get at , and remove the heater / de mister matrix (radiator) ? ...I'm losing water and the window is steaming up so i figure I've got a pin leak in this matrix . Does anyone have any idea where its contained and how to get at it ? ...thanks in advance !

Thats a back breaking job, the fan which I guess you dont need to get to is in the black box under the front clam. As for the heater matrix, I think you need to take the panel out in the passenger footwell and then look up and you should see it, dont forget there is air con involved as well and I am sorry to say I dont know how that is plumbed in.

Are you sure it's the matrix. There has been quite a few cases where water has been coming in from out side into the front footwell.

And it culd be as simple as leaves/blockage in the pipes.

Check em, I had the same problem and that is all it was.

It could also be something as simple as loose hose clamps on the hoses connecting to the heater core, or leaky hoses/bad clamps in the tunnel. Pull out the panel covering the fusebox in the passenger's footwell and take a look around for traces of coolant. Even better, hook up a cooling system pressure tester, pressurize the system (I usually go 30%-50% over the pressure rating on the expansion tank cap), and take a look around for leaks...
