well the strip down towards engine removal is going well but i,ve drawn a blank as too how to disconnect fuel and cluth supply lines , the fuel line goes into a fitting on the fuel rail and there appears to be a joint does anyone know if it disconnects there ? is it a twist and pull type of arrangement .

the clutch supply goes into the box and again there seems to be a plastic fitting holding it in place ....wondered if that is the best place to split it /

thanks for any help guys . Simon

The fuel line needs special tool which slides in from the engine side and pushes back the spring in the connector and it comes apart. You can buy a set from motorfactors, they are not too expensive.
The clutch line disconnects from the slave cylinder where it protrudes from the top of the gearbox

If you're tricky, you can cut a piece of steel tubing (around an inch is enough) in half lengthwise, and use the two pieces as a disconnect tool. Or, you can use a piece of thin sheet metal, like a piece of a beer can. Wrap it around the fuel rail, and slide it into the fitting. Push the fitting towards the fuel rail slightly, push in the disconnect tool (or tubing, or piece of metal), and pull the fitting out of the rail.

The "T" piece on the clutch line is held into the slave/throwout bearing assembly by a metal clip - use a small screwdriver or pick to pull out the metal clip, and the "T" should slide right out.
