Coolant hoses group buy?

Hi, I've finally given up trying to stop the the one small drip leaking out of the turbo water pipes and decided to replace them. So I spoke to Jason at Designation and he can supply:

10mm reinforced 3 ply silicone hose in a 4 metre length suitable for a presurised system at £44.16 + post (approx £8).

Seems like a bargain, as when I spoke to demon tweeks it was more £23 a metre. To top it off he offered a further 10% off if enough people are interested.

I'm not replacing the hoses that run to the rad, but if someone can supply me with the dimensions I have no problems finding out if they can supply and what price (2 x 4 metre lengths? What diametre?)

All the info I have gained from old posts, so any further advice any body has to offer please don't hesitate, I'd rather be told I'm wrong than actually doing it wrong.

Yes he stated silicone in the e mail, only in Blue i'm afriad.

Good question, I remember reading an old post where someone ordered a 4M length and had some to spare. Tried searching for the post but can't seem to find it. Most places I rang could only give it in 1M lengths, I'm sure the pipes running to the rear turbo are longer than that. Unless somebody can enlighten us will get my tape measuer out over the weekend and have a look.

he did mine and he was the only chap that would make it, iv neva had any probs since, did the front to back hose to rad while i was there, the blue colour is not same as samco, its slightly lighter, more baby blue, still looks good, i tryed everywere to get a 4 meter lenght

i just done mine yeaterday. got 4m done both rear turbos both front and even the little bit to the bottle. wanna change more but got to find out size of pipe and what other pipes i can do

also i used pirtek for the hose paid little more than that tho. so prob not much help that

What was the size you used to run from the rad? Did you do all the pipes? If so how much did you use? Sorry for the 3rd degree, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

These are the main ones I want to do also, so this confirms that a 4M length should at least cover it, thanks.

All the pipes going into the little blue junction under the resevoir look the same diameter, so will replace these aswell. The pipes are also available in 1M lengths off the shelf, £9.60 + VAT, the longer lengths need to be made to order.

yeah there all the same size them ones.be tight when cuttin may be a cm or two shorter if needed. did use all the 4m bang on

simon i have a can of red spray paint in the shed could always paint all the pipes.

alos this seems really cheap for these pipes how much in the engine bay would i be able to replace with 4m

hey fett, front rad to coolant tank is 9.5mm, i had 4 meter 10mm made and that fitted fine, as for pirtek, yes they could do black in 4 meter lenght but i wanted blue that is were the problem was, i spoke to a company that do the fomula 1 car but waiting list was mounths!!!

Thanks rsnoble. Nice to have a bit of feedback on the pipes aswell.

So just to confirm, those wanting to do the pipe running the length of the car need to order:

1 x 4M lengths (Only the one pipe in 10mm running to the RAD?)

If your just replacing the the ones around the engine bay (turbos, expansion tank etc):

1 x 4M length (possibly an extra metre to be on the safe side)
