Because it's greenbelt and the house is a converted agricultural building and hence you can't build one. We have a plan for the new year though...

If you look close you can see the tracks from Nick taking the X5 to work. I just walked in those smile

How about a gazeebo thingy that could look in keeping with the surroundings and add some removeable but attractive side panels?

That's what we are working on under permitted development but it's a minefield I can tell you.

I can sympathize with you. I'm in a listed building in an AOB and the restrictions go a bit too far. When I bought my house the previous owner had put grey plastic gutters on it before it was listed. Now I'm having trouble replacing them!
