Thanks from Sri Lanka Humpy! I was gutted that I was flying out hours before Top Gear.

I finally found the entire episode on a good link...if you ignore the silly ads anyway. The entire episode was entertaining, as usual.

Thanks for that link, very impressive, the track looked frosty, no doubt it will take the track record with better track conditions, seems the car is exonerated and all speculation is over.
Well done Noble. clap

Up until now I thought it was rather ugly but I grew to like it during that review.

Pretty impressive stuff from a "bunch of blokes in a shed near leicester". Immensly imprerssed that it beat the Veyron for 1/5th od the price. So now we know its a brilliant machine, well done all round. Still out of my pocket though.

Well done Noble! Do we know if TG has run the McClaren yet and how it compared?

Funny, up till now I thought it beautiful but some angles (partiularly rear flank) looked ugly on the TG clip, IMHO.

It kind of reminds me of a Le Mans racer - perhaps they should enter one and embarrass Jaguar, Aston, et al. scratchchin

I also thought, on the screen, it looked uglier then it had in the press pictures TBH. The performance is obviously stonking but in respect to the cost, it just looks tame and bland.

Seeing it on the clips just makes me think it is the M14 with a few tweaks in reality and that design is how old?!

Out of the group of cars they showed, I would still take the Balboni everytime (even though it is 'slow' in comparison hehe)

oooh.. I'm in love with this beast after seeing it on Top Gear smile
Wasn't a fan of the colour though and agree it didn't look as good as on the press shots.

Stunning car, to my eyes at least, and I absolutely love the colour.

Clarkson, despite the capacity to amuse greatly at times, does make a complete c@ck of himself with his distinctly average abilities behind the wheel mated to some of the absurd angles for a review he creates. 650bhp a bit of a handful in the wet, is it Jezza? Who'd have thunk it?

I suspect all the other 650bhp cars he's driven (and let's face it there are so many out there) were a complete doddle to drive hard in the pouring rain rolleyes

I've got to say that although Clarckson isn't the best driver he still can drive and I would be happy with half his driving talent. Leave the poor man alone smile

His inadequacies and controversial nature, perceived or otherwise, are all part of what makes the man so entertaining in the first place and I wouldn't wish to change him. Just sour grapes on my part as his day job is clearly better than mine biggrin

Here's the gauntlet, I did 1:27 in mine when it was 345 BHP, AO48s, dry.
Plans used to keep their version of the leader board, they called it the Muppets list.
