Not sure what has happened, can't really feel any significant performance loss, but the whoosh and sucking of air that i normally hear has gone very quiet and i'm sure its not my ears playing up, only things i have done recently is taken off the air intake manifold and cleaned the air filters which i have done several times before, i have checked everything over several times everything seems to be ok, any ideas what could be going on?
The induction noise is significantly quieter, it is a barely audible hiss now, where is before you could here it from 30 metres away. Very confusing.

ye, its making full boost ok, i will check the pipe to the front turbo, also going to take off the air intake manifold see if one of the rubber seals got kinked/trapped or something.

Does the addition of a BOV/Dump valve radically change the lovely induction noises? the chattering and fluttering ?

yes no change, since BOV only comes into play at throttle lift off.

Thanks for all the advice, i checked everything over and could not find a problem at first glance, but i knew it had to be something i had messed with just recently, took off the air intake manifold, all ring seals were good, then i spotted it, i had the vaccuum pipe to the BOV going into the wrong chamber, i had put the blanking plate on backwards. Turned it round 180deg and the problem was sorted, doh!

so the boost was escaping out the dump valve ?

did you notice a difference in power ?

It was a bit difficult to notice at first but it felt like i was getting turbo lag, i have a very linear power curve as it is, but even so i knew it had lost some kick at mid range, it was feeling too much like a n/a engine, after paying more attention i noticed the boost was down slightly.
So yes it did have power loss.
Feels nice to have the power back after driving two weeks with the problem.
