hi guys. i have sent my shocks of to B.A.D motorsport for a refurb. john there is great he has informed me the rears are not worth refurbing as are in a really bad way. what are me options. he says he can get bilstein ones for about 200 or can make me some full adjustables for about 240 a corner. what do you reckon or is there a even better way

Don,t think you are going to better fully adjustables for £240 a corner .......not many options you can get some Nitrons but you are looking at 2K plus i think !!!

BAD did mine earlier in the year they came back looking new, the final bill was more than expected but I now have completely adjustable and re gassed dampers with special valves inserted so they can be filled up again. Handling is much improved and I couldn't fault Johns helpfulness even keeping me updated on progress when I was in Cyprus on holiday. Couldn't fault BAD designs.

I would go for the shocks he makes, had these on for a while now with a few trackdays and they are far better than the standard shocks, well worth the money in my opinion! Also as you say, he's a top bloke and really knows his stuff.

From memory they cost just under £1200 i think, including the springs and ready to bolt on the car. (Replacement shocks were something like £280 each + vat from noble.) I only went for the single adjustable shocks as they're good enough for me, but being able to adjust them is great! I can have them set about the same as standard shocks then stiffen them up a bit for the track, also adjusting the height is easy too. Go on you know you wana! hehe

clap You wont regret it, only problem is when you get them out of the box all nice and shining you wont want to put them on the car to get dirty. I dont have the settings to hand but i can get the car out over the next couple of days and let you know what i have them set to if you like?

After all the hard work you've been doing, it would be a shame to leave those tatty old shocks on the car, go on treat yourself! biggrin I'm not sure of the exact spring rates but john did measure mine to make sure the new ones are about the same, on my invoice for the springs it says front 7" 425lb and rear 8" 575lb so i guess they are about that?
