Winter maintenance - advice pls gents!

As the motor is going to be spending the winter months confined to the relative warmth of my garage I thought I might get the little minor (I hope) niggles sorted for when the roads are ready.
Ive been experieincing a bit of clutch slip recently. After speaking to Ash who owned the car before me, it could be that Im in need of a new flywheel.
There is also clonking noise when general driving which I hope is an exhaust component knocking against the side of something but I am concerned in case there is another under-lying cause.
Water appears to be leaking into the passenger front footwell and I am not sure where it's coming from at this point.
I was also thinking of having the entire engine compartment steam cleaned plus, if necessary, replacing the exhaust silencer boxes that seem to be beyond cosmetic upgrade.
Anyone who has experienced/carried out any of the above - be grateful for your thoughts.
Also in the abscence of Tevor/Roush, who I am best off giving the old girl to be fettled with??? Trevor mentioned Jetstream but Ive noticed a few other bods on the forum seem to be getting their hands dirty with Nobles now. If there is a fair bit of mucking about in the engine bay involved, I may look at some upgrades at the same time (if there are any left to do on this one!?)

Clutch slip is most likely to be a worn out friction plate,
Clonking noise is probably a front ball joint, or loose battery.
If it's a Roush exhaust it will polish up and look like new,
Only steam clean it if you are prepared to repaint it afterwards.
Is it only the passenger footwell thats leaking?, before assuming the floor is leaking check that the plumbing in the compartment in the footwell has no leaks.
If it is the floor leaking I have just replaced my floor and for resealing I used Sikaflex and it sticks like **** to a blanket but stays flexible. I would have thought for a temp measure this could be applied or if you are feeling like you want to get it sorted properly, have the floor off. You should be able to remove, clean up and refix in a day

Not sure of your level of expertise but the Clutch slipping will be a big job involving either engine out or cutting the chassis and not a job for the faint hearted.
Not sure where you are but Nobleparts would be a good place to look for service centres in your area and I would expect them to find the cause of the clonking noise fairly quickly when it's up on the ramp.
Water ingress can be a number of things as already mentioned but is commonly due to the floor pan leaking as the rivets corrode. An easy enough job if you can get the car up in the air.
Once you have the car sorted and laid up, I'd recommend putting a trickle charger on the battery so it starts again in the spring.

Re having the floor off, definately something I want done before spring arrives but I wont attempt myself. Noted the Sikaflex advice, thanks. Did you relpace the rivets or is there a less time consuming method?

I have nil expertise when it comes to anything mechanical sadly so this is a job for the professionals. Not sure of your level of expertise but the Clutch slipping will be a big job involving either engine out or cutting the chassis and not a job for the faint hearted.

If it is an engine out job, that will at least give me an excuse to get the whole engine cleaned properly and perhaps look at a few further modifications.
