I've lost 6 days work because of the white stuff, so I've just added this to the fleet. Tax exempt, £130 full comp, cheap parts (though possibly regularly!)and what a laugh. Seriously agricultural, double declutching, no servos to be found anywhere, just brilliant.

Its got the 2.28 petrol engine. I believe the old 3 bearing diesels were bad news. I nearly bought one that had been converted to the Prima diesel turbo, but the fella never ever responded to my calls or emails. Clearly didn't want to sell it!
Think I probably paid a little over the top for this one at £2700, but the chassis is absolutely rust free, it's been rewired, gearbox's re built etc.
Today I went down a road where no other vehicle has been today and found a Volvo 4x4 on its side in a drainage ditch from 3 days back! Honestly, 60 year old engineering in this Landy and it'll go anywhere.

With tyres like that it should go anywhere! Makes my X5 look pathetic (which it is without snowchains).

by the looks of that pic you only had 2" snow

I have not stopped working, and thought the news was hyping up all the snow.

Perhaps 4" on the wall tops?

We've got drifts now up to 8" on the drive, but it amuses me how the council here even managed to grit our lane (which isn't even a B-Road) and everything has been working fine since the snow started, but apparently the rest of the country is 'broken'.

Have to admit the snow here in Sevenoaks isn't too deep. The problem is the ice that keeps forming every night on the hills. And there are lots of them.
I managed to get up to 35mph on a dry road yesterdayrolleyes

I had to laugh, a friend who lives up there in Knockholt bought a brand new 40k VW Toureg (or similar name)last week and never made it to Weald. That stopped him laughing at my old beast!

By the way, I knew it had a clutch fluid leak so I've ordered a new master cylinder at £8.70 & thought I'd better get the slave as well £9.50. No wonder I'm broke at those extortionate prices.
