Relays knackered ??

Well after a load of bulkhead work i thought i would clean my front relays with the stuff Joust suggested (thanks mate) but i,m pretty sure i should bin them and get some new ones !!! what do you think ??

You *could* just use emery paper/wet and dry sandpaper to rub off that corrosion. I'd go for new ones though.

Take the relays into any motor factors(1) and they will be able to give you like for like replacements based on the identification of the old ones.

Even Halfrauds should be able to give you replacements.

(1) Put "Motor Factors in [your-postcode]" into Google Maps without the "" and put your postcode in place of [your-postcode]

Think I got them from somewhere like Halfords, make sure you put the right ones back in the right holes though, caused me a lot of problems

Check the condition of the contacts you push the relays into, mine are pretty bad so i'm replacing them. I've found exact replacements for the new fuse and relay holders about £15 each, i've also found replacements for just the metal contacts at about £2 a set. Let me know if you want details.

Yes, give that a go. The contacts are vacuum sealed so the inside of the relay should be fine.
