GRP/composite paint shop in the South East
Discussion
Hi all
I'm looking for a good paint shop in the SE who have experience with GRP, and preferably with Nobles. Any recommendations? (or for that matter, any bad experiences..). I might be getting both clams and the roof done, might even end up with a complete respray don't know for sure yet, so obviously looking for someone really good. It's an insurance job, so not looking for a bargain necessarily. This is for damage caused by a car cover - watch out if you use one, I think in some circumstances you're better off taking your chances with the elements!
Any pointers really appreciated.

Brewsters have always sorted both of mine. http://www.brewstermotors.co.uk/
Try these:

Note the car top right (Mine
)
They sorted my fox damage and have resprayed some awesome motors. They also have dealt with a couple of Nobles.
Mines going back soon for the light covers to be fitted and a hole cut in the dash ready for the gauge.

Thanks for posting up the links/recommendations. Hopefully I can get this done quite quickly so I'm back to being all shiny again for the Spring.
It was a tailored Classic Additions cover that caused the damage - I think it's fully breathable, but it was some combination of having a wet cover on a hot car in cold and windy weather that was to blame. The paint has lots of very small bubbles (more like pimples actually) in areas where the cover was quite tight on the car. The front clam and side panels are most affected, but also the edges of the roof above the doors (not the top strangely) and some areas on the rear clam.
I was quite upset when I found it, but the insurance co. said just get it fixed. Thankfully I'm claims protected (wondered why I'd been paying for that all these years!).
Oh, and Bondy - nice car.. in the best colour out there too.

I think you'll find it'll do that without a cover on the car....
....just had it rubbed down and resprayed.DissidentX said:

I have one of there covers from the ultimate range, thanks for the heads up must admit have put it on a few times when I have thought it had cooled down enough, think I will wait a bit longer in future.DissidentX said:
Do you think it's moisture or maybe solvent in the paint trying to escape?
It definitely looks like it's coming from 'underneath'.
It's usually moisture and starts because there were pits in the fiberglass when it was painted. I had a few on my roof. It's not uncommon on other cars to be fair, especially 'plasic' ones.It definitely looks like it's coming from 'underneath'.
