Gotta love the Corsa's

Yea the intake temps were well low today so maybe had a few more than normal to cope with plus the dry salt dosn't help with the level of grip available, still scarey stuff though when you are of average ability !

Don't think ability has anything to do with it ......... Bet it is pretty scary no matter who is driving it !!!!!!!

It's the temp. They actually have a warning with them to not use under 7C. You can therefore hardly shout that they are crap when you do....

I have not seen this..... so only good on the road in the UK for around 3 days a year then

Seriously though they are not ideal for anything except at least warm days IMO.

The very reason I took them off my M400 within a month of buying it.For my (very)average ablity, as a road tyre they were positively scarey in anything other than perfect conditions. I put Rosso's on and the car has been much friendlier ever since!

I had A048's on before those and they heated up really quickly and gave great levels of grip in all temps, the only downside is they do wear rather rapidly.I might try 888's next,soft on the front and medium/hard on the rears.

Not really. They start to work fine after about 10C, but usually if it's that cold there is a lot of wet or crud on the roads. Also remember that you need to warm them up as they get their grip from the chemical grip component rather than the traction grip.

I personally just use the rightfootpressdownless method. Seems to work fine

I agree to a point but no point in having the torque and power if you cannot put it down, so any extra grip is more than welcome !

Sureley a case of horses for corsas? (sorry) The grippy tyre in the cold won't perform as well as the corsa in ideal conditions, just as the corsa won't grip as well as the grippy cold one?

IMO the A048's perform as well as the corsa's in ideal conditions and are a mile ahead in cold conditions.... not sure how that equates in equine terminology though
