Heat matting...?
Discussion
Just wondering if I have bought the wrong stuff
As part of my tidy up I want to replace the heat matting that is on top of the rear diffuser, below the intercooler box and on a couple of aluminium plates around the exhaust.
I had bought some of this:

But having now got some it is much thinner than the old stuff I have removed. Any idea how hot the exhaust can get (I have also wrapped some of the pipework) and whether this is suitable - it wasn't particularly cheap.

Looks alot better than the foil tape,(with no fiberglass backing) I used on my under-tray and intercooler box and mine is doing fine, so would think you'll be fine with what you have got.
