There's only one way to find out... no, not that, I mean with "science" (really).

We all know our Nobs are fast. So fast, in fact, that they are only limited by the speed of light.

Except when traveling in a vacuum (if you listen to Radio 1, you'll know that feeling), the coloured light from our cars travels at slightly different speeds according to the wavelength.

The wavelengths of different colours, in descending order, go Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet...

Red light travels fastest, therefore Red Nobles go faster. Thank you.

As an aside, I now realise that all those "Darth Vader" noises behind our heads are an attempt by Noble to suck all the air out of the atmosphere to level the playing field for different coloured cars.

This may be true, but......
When light is refracted, red is refracted the least, meaning... Red does not go round bends as well as the rest of the spectrum of colours, so anything a red car makes up on the straight is lost in the bends ! rofl

And that's why you want the colour that not only goes fastest in a straight line but also round corners - using your very own analysis that obviously has to be blue and to be more precise a M400 in Azure Blue biggrin.

Yes but black isn't really light is it. So black ones aren't buggering about reflecting stuff like the fancy coloured ones, they use all their power in travelling faster. Fact. smile

Might have to take my stripes off, I didn't realise they were slowing me down !

You are safe Worty, we all know that "go faster stripes" work, look at all the Chavmobiles!

Unfortunatly not.

All electromagnetic radiation travels at the same speed, this includes all the different colours of light.

Of course if you were wearing glasses then you may see a slight difference, but we all know if you need glasses to see a Noble you must be very very blind smile

It's all pointless speculation though, the farthest reaches of all universe, are black, so before you even think of cololur spectrums etc, the black(ness) was there before you even tried to calculate the speed. so, time travel wins the day for the black car I guess?

nono

I have to disagree.... As no one has ever seen to the end of,or even to the farthest reaches of space, its just speculation what lies beyond that. Infact it probably will be a shade of silver what ever it is,as its a FACT that that's the colour that travelled the fastest immediately after the the big bang ! bow

Unforuntatly I refer you to above. All colours, especially after the big bang when they were travelling through nothing, travel the same speed.
