Gave the Nob to my local garage to change oil, anti freeze and plugs and it has come back running differently. It's hyper ventilating! On tick over it sounds like I've got a stalker! Heavy breathing through the air filters,in out, in out, in out. Weird. Any clues?
I've also been told that Magnacore leads are good. Ever heard of them and if so, whats the deal?

I have those leads, think they are supposed to give better spark.

Have a really good look for things not plugged in properly (air as well as electric), he might have removed the plenum to get to the back set of plugs.

There's a good piccy in the build manual of where things should go.

I think you can only get one for the 3 ltr. I think because its American build manual and they didnt have any 2.5's over there.

Ok, cheers. I'll have a punt around. If anyone can put some info up relating to the turbo connections(air and electric) I'd be grateful.

Had a good look around and asked mechanic some questions. He said he changed plugs without removing plenum chamber. Having looked myself, I think he told the truth. They are set deep but there is no obstruction in getting to them.
Other than that I can't see how any hoses could be fitted wrong and all multi connectors can only plug in one way.
The strange thing is that the car runs very smoothly unless I accelerate hard, then at about 5000rpm there is a slight loss of power and an unusual noise. It almost feels like I'm lighting the back wheels up. Then when I get home the car sounds like its completely out of breath, like you would if you'd just been on a run.

I seem to recall in the dim and distant past that someone had problems after the throttle body was cleaned...Done too harshly and stripped off some kind of coating? Or was it the butterfly?
