For ages I've had a rattling noise in my Nob, which I thought was coming from the front. But the other day, whilst cleaning the engine I found that the aluminium heat shield that goes over the turbo by the bulk head had split at the bracket that fixes it to the head. So, a sheet of aluminium and some nuts, bolts and washers from B&Q, followed by some rivet removal, hacksawing and drilling I made myself a new bracket. Fitted it all and took it for 10 miles - not a rattle to be had !!

yeah happens to everyone. Mine did that as well ... but everything is sorted now ... and I mean everything!

I just spent a tonne of money getting everything made spot on.

The only thing I haven't done is change the exhaust. I don't want the car to be any noisier!

There is quite a bit, you'll have to go through the forum to find what you want to be done.

I upgraded my headlights to HID, new hoses, better wiring, seal the bottom of the car - just tiny bits and bobs but they all add up.

My exhaust is just as quiet as the std system and yet the silencers are straight thro like most other aftermarket ones... measures 96db at 5200rpm.

Exhaust doesnt have to be noisy to be free flowing.
