HEH .....Watch it you lot ..........i,ll have you know changing the wires over was a highly technical job and could not be done in a hurry .......and after said job was completed it seemed that a test drive was in order to make sure boost switch still worked biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Resulting test drive did bring to light some new things to try :

1....attempt to exit roundabouts in 2nd and 3rd gear and keep the car going in a straight line !!! hehehehehehe

2 .....drive through the center of town on full boost and set off as many car alarms as possible .....3 in one go woohoo

3 .....and this one on Mr Jaspers recomendation ....nail the throttle in 3rd or 4th on low boost then at 4000rpm flick the switch to high boost .......yikesyikesyikes

and 4th and my favorite ......sneek back up the drive at way past midnight only to realise that you have .....no keys to get back into the house and for some reason garage door will not open banghead My good lady wife was sooooo happy to be woken up and let me and the Nob back in redcard

but it did not matter as i lay in bed with a stupid grin on my face thumbup

p.s and the stupid light is still on hehehehe

Simon,

That made me laugh. I'm a bad influence I know!!

I'm desperately racking my brain to remember the wiring on the switch.

Check continuity between the various pins with the switch on and off.

It might be something like a loop live to the third pin and pins 1&3 earth through pin 2. Then again, confused can't accurately remember!!

Hi guys- could someone please explain to me how the switch talked about controls the boost?

1) can you turn the boost up or down (i know i know- wash my mouth out at the tought of this)

2) where can you source one of these and at what cost?

Thanks

1) Nope it turns the boost solenoid off so basically you have 2 boost settings, then new lower one being your wastegate actuator spring preload opening pressure.

2) Not sure where you can get the exact same switch as OEM in the 3R/M400
