Since having a new exhaust i have noticed that my car has started to smoke. Since then its been to mole for a service so i got them to check it it out. But they informed me that its no worse than other nobles in their workshop. Anyway i asked them to check so they did an immisions test and it was fine. The engine sounds fine, turbo's sound fine when boosting. And i can't pin point any regularity in the car smoking. A couple times on a cold start up its been left in my garage and when ive returned theres a fair bit of smoke. And some times ill be driving with the engine at low revs and ill notice it but a gear change or blip of the throtle will clear it. And like i say its not doing it all the time. Has anyone got a clue of what it can be ?????

Sounds like the turbo oil seals now allowing oil to get by due to lower back pressure in the exhaust system if you have had it upgraded to a better flow one. Commonly seen on this forum.
Ok So What can i do,do i now need to upgrade them????? could it be bad for the engine and any idear why its not doing it all the time?
Thanks steve

I think it stops when you rev the engine because it then increases the pressure and it reseals. Its not bad for the engine as long as you keep the oil level correct,I had my 25's reconned at the same time as fitting my new exhaust and one still smoked. Maybe there are better seals available,I suspect the more knowledgable will chime in and put you straight !
