Well that's wasted 59 of my hard-earned pennies... I think.
Invested this princely sum in a "sound meter" app for the iphone; seems to give expected results in various environments so thought I'd sound-check the Nob with a view to doing a 98db track day at Brands...
100db at idle! Oh ****... wind the revs up to 4500... er, 95db. Eh? Did it several times, same thing...
I'm guessing this is limitations of the crappy mike in the phone and/or the software - unless it is actually possible to be noisier at idle?
