Noble M12 GTO 3R wanted
Discussion
Hello all,
I am on the lookout for a good M12 GTO 3R. I am fortunate that Kerridges is 4 miles from my house so have had opportunity to look at a few there. I tested one yesterday and had arranged to view the history tomorrow morning, but Steve called this afternoon to tell me it was sold! Pretty disappointed, though as it was Team No 75 in the Gumball in 2005 it may have worked quite hard.
Kerridges are expecting to underwrite a further 2 cars late this week, and I await details on those. I've also spoken with Alex at Driven Image regarding their car, but we haven't yet made the numbers work (I note that a few other threads have commented on their asking prices).
So, what else is out there? I'm not a fan of the more extravagant multi-coloured leather combinations, and would prefer a 6 speed, LSD and track day sump.
I have reviewed the ads here and on autotrader, but is anyone else considering selling? Funds are expected to be available for next week.
Thank you,
Dom.

No longer in the market thank you - I've placed a deposit this morning on a portofino blue 3R, 6 speed, LSD, air con etc, one owner and just over 15k miles with a Noble history. Chassis 080 for those that track such things.
Should be with me next week at which time I'll no doubt have a load more questions ... I promise I'll try the search function first though!

Thank you for the warm welcome.
While I have a reasonable technical aptitude, I am sure I would benefit from an experienced eye when it comes time to collect. So, is anyone in the Cheshire area available to assist with an inspection, probably late next week? I will, of course, contribute to your beer/servicing fund!
The car will be going in to Kerridges for a familiarisation once I have it, but it would be really helpful to spot any major issues before I leave the dealer's premises. He has already committed to repairing any faults discovered during an MOT today, and will consider adjusting the price to reflect any problems identified during inspection.
I have bought enough performance cars to recognise that placing a deposit on a car I have never seen, let alone driven, is a risky strategy. But - the price is such that I can afford to spend a significant amount on rectification/mods and still come in under Kerridges' ticket prices if required. Besides, what can possibly go wrong in only 15k miles (joking)!
Thank you in advance,
Dom.

Update - collected the car yesterday, a GTO 3R in portifino blue with a light/dark grey leather interior, build 080. Bought through a dealer, one owner (who I spoke with before purchasing) and 15.5k miles. No modifications but no TDS unfortunately, the original owner specced the car from the factory and had no intentions of tracking it. I'll probably be sticking to the roads also, so not a great concern. All services by Williams Noble, though now due another that will be completed at Kerridges.
Drove 4 hours back from Cheshire to Suffolk yesterday afternoon, including about 5 miles of stop/start in the M6 roadworks. Water temperature remained stable at just under 90 degrees, though the aircon soon stopped (heat soak? Will check this morning). Horn seems to have stopped along the way as well so I'll be fault finding that later. It was pretty weeedy from the off! Other than that, car felt strong throughout and I arrived feeling surprisingly fresh.
Thanks to all those who have contributed knowledge to this forum - plenty of information to be getting on with!

Seller's photos, more to follow from me in time.
