That's quite hot ( I assume you were running at 100-115 degrees and not 100-115 mph ! ). I don't think I've ever need mine get hotter that 90, and the fans will be on then. The fuses are in the passenger footwell, you should see a little pully bit of material. There is a row of 12 vertical fuses above the relays. Above that 12 are two horizontal fuses, the radiator one is the bottom one of those two, it's a 10A one.
Is it a 2.5, if it is then there is a fan switch on the drivers side front pipe going into the rad (just in front of the fan) I used to go through them all the time (no my ecu control the fans).
If it is a 2.5 then if you remove the two wires from the sensor and short them together then the fans should come on, if not then maybe a fuse.

A fan would not be pulling anything like 40A. The 40A fuse may distribute power to lower powered circuits, in which case if that had gone, I would think a lot more would not be working as well as the rad fans.
Hello!
Yeah so it turns out one of the fans had seized, but since they're just both linked together it blew the fuse for both fans.
New fan going to be ordered, and we're going to change the wiring to have an inline fuse for each fan. We think the fan wiring is pretty crap actually, did they change it on the later cars?
