Here's one I made earlier.....
Discussion
Been looking around at Wheel Dollies to help move tha car around in the limited garage space.
So ended up making a set of these.....

Under front wheel

Under Rear wheel

Really easy to move around the garage with 100mm casters

Rears where flexing a little so cured with a strip of angled alloy.

Easy to make.
Heavy duty checker plate, set of 100mm nylon caster wheels, M8 20mm bolts and nylock nuts with washers.
Can provide measurements if required.
Cheers,
Ian.

I made a template from stiff card, found the angles to suit best, then took the pre-cut checker plate to a small local metal fabricator. The lad did the bends on a huge bending machine whilst I waited. Once he set the machine, it took only a few minutes to do all the bending.

machine mart sell them. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/...
they also used to do a version that slid under the wheel and with a pedal jacked the car off the ground, we have a few set in my dads garage.

Sealey also do a similar one, but the caster wheels are smaller at 75mm on both machinemart and Sealey. The larger 100mm casters make it easier to roll and the casters rotate very smoothly. The larger casters also take a heavier load. The only one addition would be to put a brake caster on each dolly. they also used to do a version that slid under the wheel and with a pedal jacked the car off the ground, we have a few set in my dads garage.
The jack versions where originally my first choice, but quite expensive.

Ian.
