Evening guys.
The Mrs is getting a bit fed up with her Lotus Exige and I am trying to find her a suitable replacement. Now before anyone says anything NO we wont be buying another Nob, she doesnt really like driving mine. We had thought of a 911 but I dont think it really inspired her, my other thought was a TVR 350, they are very reasonable, a bit different to look at etc etc.
I dont want to go on the TVR forum yet, has anyone on here had any experience of them with regards to reliability , servicing costs etc etc.

Thankyou people

I had a T350 before the noble, it was very reliable for me. The only major thing was at 30k miles it needed a new clutch. They'll probably be a few annoying problems with fuses and the digital read out but they are usually quick fixes.
Servicing costs will be similar to the Noble.

Hi mate we faced this challenge 3 years ago looked at a TVR'S but i just could not get my head around some of the build issues also with it being the Wife's car new that if it gave her any issues she would fall out of love with it very quickly !! so this is what we bought :

been a cracking bit of kit mods include H&S exhaust ,koni's, strutt brace also uprated the radio and speakers been absolutly perfect and she loves driving it !!!

I have owned 2 TVRs and i can honestly say the worst built cars i have ever owned children could of build them better than those folk in blackpool. you could be lucky and find one they actually took some pride in when they built it but that i doubt. I covered 12000 miles in one well no i didnt i done 10000 miles in the courtesy car they gave me when the tvr wasnt running. So i sold it and bought another thinking they cant all be like this? and yep they bloody are. fast yep 0 to the workshop in every 2 days.

for the wife, only if you wanna be single again.yikes

Its the second one she has had and we have had a lot of issues with it (no her arse isnt getting too big to fit in it).

Paint bubbled when it got cold
Battery light keeps coming on
Rattles like crazy
Heater keeps packing up
Windows have 6mm gap at top

The previous one was great but this has put her off for good.

Thats not a bad idea Tux. Will the wives be able to swap?
