Thats what I mean, the whole blade is rubber whereas a standard blade has the rubber strip mounted to a steel frame. By doing away with the steel frame I'd have nothing to mount the washers on.

You can revert to the old system (non blade spray) for a few pounds - I have both. I hope to be at Goodwood Supercar Sunday and would be happy to show you.
