Sorry if the title's misleading but I'd just like to share an informative day at Mike's Area 52 Autosport. I should have had my GTO3 checked after the new exhaust was fitted last year and I didn't feel it was running quite right. Anyway, thought I'd get it sorted before going to L M Classic and originally planned to go to Trevor but the distance made me choose Mike, Nottinghamshire.
The rolling road experience was a first for me and a real eye opener. First run was abandoned when the engine started misfiring - the graphs looked like my best drawing on an 'Etch a Sketch' (ask your dad).
Mike looked for the simple cause of this and soon identified loose plugs and incorrect spark gaps. I asked Mike what max hp I could expect and was told 320 - 360 was the norm. Second and third runs were much better as shown below.
