High revs missing

Still can't work out why my 2.5 is missing when high revving. Runs perfectly ok until around 5500revs then a bit of spluttering occurs under hard acceleration. New plugs, leads and throttle body cleaned. Any suggestions as to what it could be? Cheers

This is were we all tell you to check your fuel system... the fuel pipe from the tank to the pump can collapse and the wireing to the pump is way beyond inadequate.

Also try re-gapping your plugs, makes one hell of a difference.

All sounds like good advice to me! What's the correct gap for plugs in a 2.5?
Thinking that's the place to start as it didn't happen before the plugs were fitted.

Just looked at the 1G workshop manual and it says 040 for plug gap, but I'm assuming that's for a 3L. Any thoughts?

I would remove the plugs and make sure they are all gapped equally, if they are, and it's still playing up then reduce the gap a little at a time until it runs smoothly. Obviously if it doesn't run better after a couple of goes then it's probably something else.

Had a play with the plugs today & set them to around 40 thou. Sorted.
