As long as you have good access under the car, you do not need to unscrew the floor panel to access the heat shield bolts and bracket.
It's a very easy job really. 2 nuts and bolts at the bottom, heat shield to the bracket, one 13mm bolt bracket fixing on the underside of the manifold at the manifold brace and 1 X 6mm nut to the head above the manifold on an existing stud.
The biggest job is making sure it touches nothing as it can rattle.

Ok thanks for the good news. Word of warning Steve without the front heat shield the bulkhead wiring loom can melt !!!! I know of 1 person that this happened too !!!!! Would advise you get it fitted asap !!

It will slide in from the top. Mind the Llambda cable. No need to remove anything. It really is an easy job.
When you are done. Tap it all over and make sure it is not touching the Turbo anywhere and also that the gear linkage does not touch it when you are in first gear. Otherwise it will buzz when under load.
Don't be afraid to give it a little bend in places if required.
