Seat restoration

I`ve eventually got round to sorting the front seats - in particular the drivers seat on my car. The outer side bolsters on the squab and cushion had been abraded by the harness belts whilst some previous owner had entered and exited the car. They looked like the only solution was to get them re-trimmed but I invested some £20 in a repair kit from:

(The price is now about £35 as they include a small spray kit instead of just Q tips and a sponge). I must say I was rather sceptical about the `before and after` photos on their website but I`ve got to say you now have to look very carefully and close up to see anything on my seats now. It didn`t take that long to do either but I did put on three coats of `colour` cutting back carefully with 1500 grade `wet and dry` - but used dry - between applications and then three costs of `finisher` gradually adding `gloss` to a `matt` base to get a perfect match to the rest of the seat trim. And, there is still a lot over should any other damage ever occur.
With hindsight I should have taken before and after photos..... It really is a good alternative to a re-trim.

Will do - just tried taking pictures of a black seats in a black interior with the car in the garage.. Tried without flash and the exposure time is about 20 seconds - with flash there is a lot of `bounce back` or what ever the technical term is - I`ll take some with the car outside in the next couple of days.
