Help lost my clutch fluid!!!
Discussion
Went to start my 2.5 yesterday, but had a flat battery as me being a div had left my lights on over night. Managed to get some jump leads onto the battery and got enough power in her to fire her up. Everything is all fine, get in put my foot on clutch and the pedal goes straight top the floor. Pumped it a few times and nothing, opened up the front and fluid is everywhere, it had all squirted out from the breather hole i think. Why would this Happen???????
Cheers
Jamie
How odd, the only thing I could suggest is a seized slave cylinder, so due to the pressure something had to give, but thinking it through I can’t understand how the high pressure fluid could mix with the low side. This all presupposes that the lid wasn’t loose! I would suggest bleeding it and see what happens
If it's leaking under the front clam, the first thing I'd check is the clutch line - check that the connection to the master hasn't come loose, or the line hasn't broken. Put some fluid in and have someone press the clutch pedal while you watch so that you can spot the leak. Hopefully it's something simple like a loose connection or even a master cylinder, not the slave...
Tried bleeding the clutch fluid no luck.
You can see the clutch fluid go down when pumping the clutch pedal even when the bleed teet on the gearbox is locked off.
So what things should i check??
Master cylinder at the front.
Line for any breaks or leaks.
What else can i chack easily before i go taking the car apart.

If the leak is at the front then it's hardly going to be the slave cyliner is it ?
It must be around the master cylinder area, maybe leaky seals, loose pipe to the cylinder, fractured joint.
Fill the reservoir up,get someone to pump the pedal and spot the leak.
