Rear lights - one last try?

OK, I know we have tried this before (www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=26&t=736497&mid=199466&nmt=New rear led lights and deffusers for Noble) but ive been in talks with a company and have begun discussing the design of some new rear lights for the noble
It will make things more viable for the company to take on the project with a group buy order
Anybody want in?
If this falls through like previous attempts i give up and will stick to smoking the lights!!!

I know its early days with your enquiries but I suspect you'll get your group buy without much problem. If I were you I'd get some CAD drawings going like wessexrfc did so people can see what they're saying yes to.
I quite like the LED strips that some cars are fitted with these days but making something VERY different might overstyle and ruin it.

Ive asked them to come up with some designs.
I for one, am not overly keen on the lexus style lights, though i would still put these on in place of mondeos
Inspiration wise, ive been looking at merc and audi lighting systems - a more 'smooth' look, imo.

I think you are on the right track there as I don't think putting a couple of round units in a mounting will quite do it justice. The rear view is wide and flat so round doesn't do it for me.I for one, am not overly keen on the lexus style lights, though i would still put these on in place of mondeos

As an aside there seems to be a steady supply of Elise/Exige owners prepared to pay £550 to upgrade to the later LED units....is that the sort of price people on here would pay? I don't think we are talking £60 ebay stuff here.
(I may keep the Mondeo units as I used to have them on my company car back in 95 so a deep emotional bond
