M400 Pump Failure - what replacement
Discussion
My M400 fuel pump has failed. It draws current, but doesn't spin.
Shall I replace it with a Bosch fuel pump 0580 254 044 from ebay at £137. Do I need any additional parts to fit this pump.
Or is there a source of proper M400 pumps (for quietness) cheaper than Nobles £250?
One last question - I have half a tank of fuel, will it all flood out when I disconnect the pump?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Andrew

All fixed now.
When I came to fit the 044 pump the inlet port thread is a M18 / 1.5 which is larger than the M400 pump. I therefore needed to buy an adapter to fit it.
I bought:
1 off Goodridge Alloy adapter - 10JIC x IG-306-10-M18D
1 off Oil Union Straight push on -10JIC for 5/8 HEF7-10
1 off copper folded washer M-COP-M18
2 off alloy crush Washers G-CW901-M12
All parts bought from Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe.
I also needed to find a M6 Nut and washer as the 044 pump uses a M5 and M6 for the electrical connections, whereas the M400 pump uses an M4 and M5.
The car running fine again - drove to the MOT and it passed with no problems.
Thanks to Tuxman and Dave at Jetstream for their invaluable advice.
