I've noticed a small amount of fluid coming from a split in the steering gaitor recently but when getting the car out this morning there was a large amount of steering fluid on the floor. frown So I guess it means the rack has had it's day and I wondered how easy it is to replace? Anyone done it yet as I've searched and can't really find anything apart from it being from a scorpio? If so anyone know what year or even better have a part number?
Thank you!

Can anyone help me with this at all as I'm struggling to find the correct rack. The car is a GTO3 and I have tried to match the rack with as many Scorpio racks as I can find but nothing is exactly the same, the main problem seems to be the mounting points. So from what I can make out it's not from a Scorpio at all? Anyone have any ideas before i go completely mad?

Arghh!

I think it's a bespoke item from memory.
They can be re-furbished quite cheaply but I'm afraid a new factory item is £££'s

Thanks, I think your right. I have looked at lots but none of them seem to match exactly, it seems to be half of one rack and half of another? And I haven't even tried getting a price for a new one as I'm sure it will be way over priced, so I'm going to go down the re-conditioning route, a bit of a pain but hopefully it will sort the problem. If not I'll have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
