Autocar put the Focus rs as more fun than the gtr(not so much fun when it flies past though), surely a noble is more fun than an rs(?)

A couple of weeks ago, at the Nurburgring, I think every RS on the planet was there. There must have been a few owners struggerling to find their car

I had one of the first deposits down in March 2008, and was excited until I did the Silverstone Academy day in it.The speed it can carry through corners is astonishing, but fun? No.It left me flat.
It could well be I'm simply not a good enough/brave enough driver to entice the fun factor from it but it left me cold.Add to the fact that I was buying it as a car that I could drive miles to the track and then home again at which point Nissan put in a zillion stupid stipulations regards doing just that and I decided against it.It's an amazing piece of kit, but had zero character. I've never regretted my decision to get my deposit back, and to think that by now I would have been nine months without my Noble frankly makes me shudder.

Being fortunate enough to have a GTR and still have the Nob in the garage I can say its a pretty hard comparison.
They are both completely different beasts. The Noble demands a certain amount of respect and finese, the GTR requires none. The GTR is packed with electronics and crazy gadgets, it's heavy, it's big and you can drive it like it's a Playstation game. However, I love it. Although heavy, it doesn't act it. You can position it easily and the feel is good. It's also quite mechanical. It makes noises, the sort of noises you would expect it it make if it was a Transformer, they give it character.
One thing I will say is that off the shelf it lacks a bit of drama and I don't like the way its mapped. So, I have had a full Ti exhaust system fitted (the standard car is near silent, like a hairdrier) and a custom remap. The mods have made a night and day difference, it's truely mental now. It is a seriously rapid car, faster than the Nob for sure.
Would I sell the Noble for a GTR? No way.
Would I swap the GTR for anything else? No way.
The best way to find out though is to go for a drive (hopefully in an owners car, not a test drive, N2H convinced me!) and see for yourself. Then have a go in a modded one.

Tell that to the guy in the black gtr who lives down the road from me. He said he couldn't believe it when I went past him. He'd probably lose me on the bumpy b roads though.BUT
