Hi

Please excuse the terminology if I have it wrong but here is a picture;

It's the bush/spherical joint on the suspension mounting arm not the A arm.

Have searched here and Nobleparts without success

Thanks in advance.

Rob

PS Does the proximity to the exhaust cause loss of grease/lubrication?

The shiny, silver piece, right? It's a standard rod end (heim joint, rose joint) - I replace them with high-quality aircraft grade teflon-lined ones that I get from my bearing supply place. You can also try stores that cater to race car fabricators. Unfortunately, I don't remember the specs on this piece, so you'll have to measure the thread and the bore of the ball, and they should be able to supply you with the right thing. With the teflon lined rod ends, there's no grease to burn out. However, if the temp gets high enough to melt out the liner, the rod end will be destroyed. We fully ceramic coat our exhausts, and route them to get more clearance, both of which reduce the temps the rod ends see...

Shiny part now removed and it does look and feel very knackered.

but how to remove the bush?

Seems to be in two parts

Haven't tried giving it a good whack yet as it looks quite firmly fixed so thought I would consult you guys for the intelligent way.

Thanks

Rob

Now, all you have to do is loosen the lock nut and unscrew the rod end. Before you remove the rod end, measure from the center of the bore to the end of the control arm - the more precisely you can make this measurement, the easier it will be to reset the toe when you align the car. Also, I like to count the number of turns that it takes to unscrew the rod end - put the new one in with the same number of turns, and then remeasure.
