I don't think it's as high as 270. Says 130 on the wiki. 270 is the wheel bearing I cud do with some1 confirming this as mines come loose again

Well, I have changed the driveshaft this evening and I could not believe the nuts, no wonder people are changeing to the Porsche ones, they are conduit locknuts held together with a bit of bent metal, glad I bought one for the other side as well.

im not convinced this is of any use but out of interest these are the figures the engineering company i work for use for nuts and bolts. dry joints (i.e. no loctite) and grade 8.8

M10 -52Nm
M12 -89Nm
M16 -221Nm
M20 -434Nm
M22 -583Nm

no idea on the size of the threads, off the top of my head, but must be bigger than M20 though. of course pitch and material makes a difference though!

cheers

The US build manual says to torque the rear axle nuts to 250 lb-ft, which I believe is around 338 nm... That's what I use, along with red Loctite and the Porsche nuts. Haven't had one come loose yet... (knock on wood!)
