The 458 is stunning to look at in the flesh as it were.
The interior is typical Ferrari but better for not having s
te stalks for wipers indicators etc, they're all controlled via buttons on the steering wheel that at first seems a little strange but I like the idea.
all the radio, satnav etc, is crammed into the instrument binnacle and looks a little busy.
I'm going to try and get one by hook or by crook but It'll be 6 months-ish for the first demonstrators to hit the market.

The interior on the F430 is better than the Noble for sure IMO but the Noble just has wow factor.
When i left the Goodwood festival of speed a month ago i followed a Burgandy coloured 458 for a mile until he turned into a pub. number plate 'FER 1'. i wonder who that privileged person was!?

That's like trying to compare a gourmet burger with a wagyu fillet steak They are too different in too many ways.
My M400 was always getting waves and people asking "is it a kit car", "how fast is it"?
On the other hand my F430 also got waves (the five finger fist type) and people never asked how fast because they already knew and a big plus is the Ferrari soundtrack is fantastic.
Back in the real world an F430 is faster overall,(flamesuit on) but given the choice between a Wagyu steak and a gourmet burger, I'd have the burger.
sorry guys, I am probably being a complete bonehead who knows nothing about cars, but I actually dont like the 458, and like it even less after I saw the dashboard on top gear. I can appreciate its performance, and the history of ferrari etc but I just dont like it. In the same way i can appreciate the Veyron, but dont like it.
I'm going to stick with my £22,000 Noble thanks - and keep smiling with the interest people show in it and the enjoyment it gives me for a fraction of the price.

I thought the M600 actually came out pretty well, certainly better than the LFA anyway, but as they say, the badge is against it at that price.
The best bit was what they said about the M400 "You won't find a car that corners harder or accelerates much quicker for £400k, and one of these will cost you only £40k. Just don't buy one that's sick or damaged." It was just a pity they used a picture of a 2.5 or 3.0.

I thought the M600 actually came out pretty well, certainly better than the LFA anyway, but as they say, the badge is against it at that price.

It's about time the 'snobs' in the motoring press accepted there are better cars out there than Ferrari's. They're like 15 year old school boys sometimes, Ferrari this Ferrari that. True but it's very difficult to be truly unbiased as everyone has their own prejudices, whether they're concious of them or not. Also I expect they're mindful of the fact that, were they to be less than enthusiastic about a car from certain manufacturers, they wouldn't get access to the next offering from them in the future. Which is why Clarkson was happy to drive a £170k car which has indicators that can't be used when driving and a speedo that is hidden by a sat nav I suppose!

Neither of those issues are "real". The speedo is repeated in the left TFT and according to the highway code, you indicate and then turn the wheel 
Clarkson pointed them out for fun entertainment, which is what TopGear is. I like that sort of tommfoolery personally.

So I'm turning right at a roundabout and will need to start indicating left (to exit) whilst still turning right, not so easy J

Blimey that makes the Noble luggage set look good value. Personally I'd rather save the money - there's something about turning up in an expensive car at an upmarket hotel with all your stuff in plastic bags, just to see the look on the concierge's face.
