I was just curious this car was sold on classifieds . I can only see one large air filter i thought there were usually two ?

It's probably the other side of the fuel filler.

Quite a few mods and custom pieces on that car; but judging from the routing of the hard pipe going to the front turbo there could be an air filter located on the far side of the IC that can't be seen in that view.

Looks to me the hard pipe is standard, you can just see the silicone/rubber elbow, looks to me they have gone for larger air intake filters and over-lapped them, with the left being ontop of the right.

just wondering why spend all that money on a uprated intercooler then cover it with 2 very large filters ????? or am i missing something would they be better placed at rear of passanger compartment below clam

Why put the air intake on the air-off side of the intercooler???, that can't be right, still think they are over-lapped, and yes, restricting air flow through the intercooler

A good air filter should offer little or no resistance to air flowing through it -- so they really are not blocking anything as long they are clean smile.

Why is there gold reflective foil on the underside of the clam??

Surely you want as much heat as possible to disappate and not be reflected back down into the engine bay??

Stops the paint going bad due to heat.
