Hi all,
Had my car on the rollers yesterday & it produced 329.9BHP & 304lb/ft Torque.
As far as I can tell, the engine has been rebuilt (JNM) with forged pistons, but thats it.
The car runs the standard MBE ECU & standard discreet exhaust (with a small crack in the manifold).
Is this power good/expected???
My thinking is if the bottom end has been strengthened, what is my next step to get more power without compromising reliability. (apart from fixing the manifold).

That's not bad. What gearbox / diff do you have?

5 Speed box, with open diff (No LSD yet)
boost peaked at 1.0bar, then wound down to 0.7/0.8

Don't know the wheel power i'm afraid.

sounds like it has had a tweak on the boost so power could be correct

can you post the graph up ?

That's the weak point. Not really worth doing much to the engine in the way of power hikes as you'd be on borrowed time with that drivetrain.

I would have thought once the gearbox and diff has been changed you could get 450 hp on those pistons and they wont break.

Do this soon or a lambda sensor could disintegrate and damage a turbo.

Should defo go down the gearbox and diff route mate before looking for more power. Mine (GTO-3 with five spd box and open diff) was standard and managed to destroy 5th gear and then lunch the rest of the box, and that was when it was standard and treated very gingerly from a standing start etc.
