Luggage Space!

Sorry, if this has been covered to death already BUT, the PH search facility is down. Am looking to purchase in next month or so and have been lurking here for a while. Only question I still have is hardly a deal breaker, but how much space is there in the Noble for any sort of 'luggage' - certainly I'm looking for enough for a squshy bag or two as the car will be used as a weekend toy as well as being tracked. If, as I suspect, there's diddly sqat, are there options in terms of a carrier on the rear clam?

If you have a women, really you should pack her bags for her if ur going anywhere to make sure she travels light

In fairness if you strategically pack you can fit a fair amount in. When i first got my noble I took it to a cricket match and managed to fit in a full kit, pads, helmet etc plus a passenger. To me its more a case of 2 or 3 small size bags rather than 1 big bag.

Dunno anything about an outside luggage kit, nor do i know if i would wanna cover up the airflow of the noble as i believe they rely heavily on natural air intake to keep them cool.

There's enough space for a 2 week holiday in France for 2 people. In the absence of the official Noble luggage set, we have found room as follows:

The passenger footwell - it's both long and wide and my wife manages to fit her legs in comfortably along with 2 bags and other squashy stuff like coats etc.

I put a bag in front of my seat/under my knees.

Parcel self . We have made a bag out of leather cloth to fit the shelf behind the seats - about 4 ft long x 6 inches square and can squash lots of stuff in there.

Under the seats - space to squash in a couple of towels, and/or some shoes.

Behind the seats. Surprising how much can fit in here. I usually put tools and a few spares here.

Another option which some friends in a GT40 used when we went to France last month is to buy some vacuum storage bags. You fill them with clothes etc, then zip them up and suck out all of the air with a hoover. This reduces a 6 inch high bag to about 1 inch, and can be used as a 'carpet'

So, luggage space is NO problem at all.

SBC - thanks for the response - looks like it might work then!

Bearing in mind that, in the past, I've managed a two week trip to France in a Caterham, the Noble looks like a go-er!

Will post again again when I've found the beast - looking for a GT0-3R! But in no hurry; I've all winter to search

Ditto - there is plenty of luggage space.

I thought it might be bad .. but compare it to a Lotus Elise or Exige and you are laughing.

I find it easier to pack in small bags and them shove them behind the seats. I can do my entire weeks shopping and put it behind the seats, and have been on road trips or holidays with as much as I would take in a normal car and it all fits.

You will be surprised how much you can fit if you pack sensibly and with a bit of finess.
